Interactions are the number of social connections we'll be tracking, e.g. friends, favorites, ratings, clicks, etc.

In our developer documentation we call these links since they're the things that associate one item with another. So, if two users are marked as friends in a social graph, that's one interaction or link. Similarly, if a user marks an article as a favorite that's an interaction between that user and the article.
